Although it was detailed a few weeks ago, Intel now officially added the new Atom D2550 to its lineup. The new Cedar Trail fits somewhere between the already available D2500 and the D2700 and is actually a simple mix between those two processors.
The new D2550 is still a dual-core CPU but unlike the D2500 features support for HyperThreading. It still works at 1.86GHz, just like the D2500 but features a higher clocked on-chip GPU set at 640MHz, just like the D2700. It also lacks Virtualization and, just like the D2700 and D2500, is a 32nm part, has 1MB of L2 cache and the same 10W TDP.
Be advised, the official price is still unknown and we aren’t sure when will this one appear on the market.
